About Tomchei Foundation
Born from a Callingto Serve
In 1999, Zvi Bojarski and Jonas Landau noticed something troubling: Jewish families in our community were quietly struggling — with food insecurity, with tuition they couldn't afford, with elderly parents who had no one to check on them. The need was real, but it was hidden behind closed doors.
They gathered a small group of dedicated community members and, with little more than conviction and a rented storage unit, launched Tomchei Foundation's first food pantry. Forty families were served that first month.
Today, Tomchei Foundation serves over 2,400 families annually across 11 active chapters, with programs spanning food assistance, education, elder care, emergency relief, and mental health support.

Our Journey
Tomchei Foundation established with a single food pantry serving 40 families.
Launched the Education Scholarship Fund, supporting 12 students in their first year.
Opened the Senior Services program, providing home visits and transportation.
Reached 500 families served annually; expanded to emergency financial assistance.

Zvi Bojarski founded Tomchei Foundation with a vision of ensuring every Jewish family has what they need to celebrate Shabbos with dignity. His dedication to the community has shaped the organization from its very first day.

Jonas Landau co-founded Tomchei Foundation alongside Zvi, bringing operational expertise and a deep commitment to tzedakah. Together they built the network of chapters that serves thousands of families today.
